Welcome to the Urban Collective Project
I've learnt things about the music industry that I wasn't even close to knowing previously and I'm now fully Mac and Logic literate. I couldn't thank the team enough for my new-found drive to crack on with all things music. You've given us a gift that keeps on giving. Daniom
Urban Collective™ is a proven and successful social enterprise, developed by UK artist management company Freeport Entertainment, that provides a practical gateway to the music industry for aspiring young artists and producers.
Since its launch in London in 2004, Urban Collective has empowered more than 700 people to collaborate and produce many albums, an award winning feature film, documentaries, music videos and dozens of live performances.
In 2011 Urban Collective will launch in the US, giving thousands of young people the opportunity to learn a range of creative industry skills, market CDs, digital music and merchandise, and perform on a national tour circuit. Urban Collective also builds a recording studio per city and will link all of its projects to a dynamic website complete with viral marketing tools, profiling and social networking capabilities enabling artists to cultivate direct-to-fan relationships and social media exposure.
By 2015, we will audition 30,000 artists, we will work with more than 3000 artists and producers worldwide and will place up to 500 artists into the commercial mainstream, providing the parent artist management company, and the wider music industry, with an international pool of talent.
It’s not often that well-meaning community projects produce genuinely compelling results, but Urban Collective is a noble exception. IDJ Magazine
